Barclays go for PRINCE2 and MSP
My spies tell me that Barclays have recently required all their junior project managers to have PRINCE2 to Foundation level and senior project managers to have the Practitioner level of qualification.
PRINCE2 Foundation is essentially a proof that you have a detailed understanding of what PRINCE2 is, nothing more; it is gained by taking a one-hour, multiple choice exam paper. Many people seek to gain this qualification by sheet book reading or by pure e-learning; both options have always seemed to me a pretty arid way of understanding PRINCE2, and probably don't get to the spirit of the Method.
Also, all Barclays Programme Managers and Programme Office Managers will require MSP.
Good move, Barclays.
